BOOK NOWNestled in Porto's historic Miragaia quarter, along the Douro riverfront, Fado Maior do Porto welcomes you with its centuries-old walls and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The Fado the world knows, and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2011.
This centuries-old tradition brings together the refinement of classical music and the raw power of folk expression.
Tickets are €16 (general admission) or €21 (reserved front row seat). Book online for 5% off.
We're the only venue in Porto — and in Portugal — with a daily programme featuring two styles of Fado in the same evening, performed by two different groups: Traditional Fado and Coimbra Fado. In a small, centuries-old tavern in Miragaia, where the artists perform just a few metres from you.
Fado Maior do Porto is at Rua de Miragaia 54, 4050-386 Porto — a 10-minute walk from Ribeira. By public transport, take bus 403, 500 or 900 and get off at the Miragaia stop (200m walk). By car, the nearest car park is Parque da Alfândega (250m): R. Nova da Alfândega 80, 4050-385 Porto.

We recommend buying tickets online — you'll secure your seat and get a discount. But if you turn up without a booking and there are seats available, you're welcome to join us.
The show is entirely dedicated to the art of Fado, so dinner is not served. You can buy port wine — tawny, ruby or white — for €5 per glass. We don't serve food.
The show is open to guests aged 12 and over.
